If numbers aren’t your thing, or if the thought of bookkeeping and payroll keeps you up at night, you’re in the right place!

Having your books in order, submitting payroll, making source deductions, and submitting GST on time throughout the year are all things we are good at, and that we do efficiently.

As an added benefit, when you hire us to devote time each week, or month, to keep your books up to date and understandable, you’ll know what operating capital and cash you have available. Your accounts payable, receivables, financial transaction reporting, source remittances for EI, CPP, and WCB can all be managed. In addition, if you want your administrative or operations staff to make sure they are reporting hours as well as variable items like tips, overtime, and expenses accurately, we can come to your business location to provide that training and consulting.

Rick Walker

Rick joined the Bonstar Team July 2015.  He worked 30+ years as a Pressman in the printing industry and has always been a numbers person.  After providing support to Bonnie over the years in the accounting/bookkeeping world, realized that he would like to be a part of the same journey on a full time basis.  His change in career was a difficult journey initially but has grown a real liking to build something special and watch it grow organically.

Bonnie Jensen-Walker, CPB, CPFP, CPM, SME—Founder and Owner

Bonnie Jensen-Walker is Co-Founder and Co-Owner of Bonstar the Profit Strategist, Inc., which offers profit-focused cash flow solutions for small businesses.  She has a passion for making numbers make sense, as well as seeing clients become profitable and successful. She believes that in helping her clients reach a high level of success, she increases her own success, too.

As a Profit First Professional, Bonnie is trained in a special methodology designed to assist small business owners in quickly turning a profit, paying down debt, and keeping more of what they make.  She works with businesses to evaluate, organize, and navigate systems for financial recordkeeping and profitability. Some of her most recent client projects include:

  • Implementing Profit First for bookkeeping clients so they can finally pay themselves on a regular basis plus pay themselves bonuses every quarter.
  • Delivering bookkeeping solutions that truly match the clients’ needs.
  • Teaching QuickBooks Online to clients who prefer to perform their own bookkeeping tasks.

Bonnie has earned many certifications that allow her to serve her clients with a higher level of expertise:

  • Certified Profit First Professional (Profit First Canada)
  • Advanced Certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor (Intuit)
  • Certified Professional Bookkeeper (CPB of Canada)
  • Certified Payroll Manager (Canadian Payroll Association)
  • Subject Matter Expert (Canadian Payroll Association)

Prior to starting Bonstar the Profit Strategist, Inc., Bonnie held many professional accounting positions including financial accountant, senior accountant, and controller. She enjoys assisting clients in the fitness and health industries.

Bonnie earned her degree in Accounting and Business/Management from MacEwan University. When she’s not working, she enjoys hiking, being outdoors, and traveling. She also likes to research nutritious meals for her family, as well as bake nutritious dog treats.

Julio joined Bonstar Team in September 2014.  He is Bonstar’s in-house security.  He ensures every visitor is okay to enter.

Baxter joined Bonstar Team June 2017.  He is Bonstar’s Office Manager.  He ensures the Bonstar Team is taking care of business and not sleeping on the job.
